First look at Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman in The Railway Man

Transmission has dated Jonathan Teplitzky’s upcoming UK-Australian co-production, The Railway Man, for a December 26, 2013 release.

The local distributor must have high hopes for the feature, which stars Colin Firth as real-life POW Eric Lomax and Nicole Kidman as his wife Patti, given its placement in the busy Christmas period.

It also features Jeremy Irvine as young Lomax.

This marks Teplitzky’s first film since 2011’s Burning Man.

We figure the similarity in title is a coincidence.
