We’re going back in time – all the way to 2004 – with news that a reboot of The Butterfly Effect is in the works.
According to Variety, the original’s writer-director, Eric Bress, will script this new take on the tale. Many of the first flick’s producers are back on board too.
Ashton Kutcher played in the pic a time-traveller who inadvertently altered his future by attempting to undo wrongs from his past.
Its ending was bananas.
Produced on a budget of $13 million, it grossed $96 million worldwide, resulting in two direct-to-DVD sequels.
