Director Alan Taylor has clarified to Collider why reshoots were necessary for his upcoming Marvel movie, Thor: The Dark World.
Though there is always controversy when a big budget film returns to production – usually suggesting that “something” isn’t working, even though this is a standard practice – Taylor insisted it was simply to “plus” the movie.
The biggest inclusion will be Tom Hiddleston’s Loki.
“We’re doing full scenes, scenes that were not in the movie before. We’re adding scenes, creating scenes, writing scenes for the first time.
“It was like, ‘Oh, we could do this, we could jam this in here because he’s such a wonderful guy to watch do his stuff.’”
This will be good news for those who love their Loki.
Thor: The Dark World also stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Anthony Hopkins. It hits cinemas October 31.
