Trailer Debut: Foxcatcher

Foxcatcher was – somewhat prematurely – featured on our Most Anticipated Films of 2012 list a little while back. Now, near the end of 2013, comes the first official teaser for Bennett Miller’s true-crime drama.

Steve Carell stars as schizophrenic billionaire John du Pont, a chemical heir who tried to train wrestler Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum) ahead of 1988 Olympics.

As the official synopsis puts it, “[John] lures Mark into dangerous habits, breaks his confidence and drives him into a self-destructive spiral.”

Do not take to Google if you wish to remain oblivious to the tragic events that unfolded; at least until Foxcatcher hits local cinemas February 2014.

A very hairy Mark Ruffalo also stars.
