Sandra Bullock won’t make a sequel to The Heat, as she was burned by those notorious follow-ups to Speed and Miss Congeniality. We know how she feels.
Speaking to The Wrap, Bullock was upfront about the prospects for The Heat 2.
“I’m not doing a sequel to The Heat… I’ve done two sequels. They were horrible. What Melissa [McCarthy] and I had was beautiful. We might do another film together. I think we should do a silent film together.”
Those two sequels were Speed 2: Cruise Control and Miss Congeniality: Armed and Fabulous.
Director Paul Feig, however, is keen to make The Heat 2. And Fox Studios – no doubt pleased by its $226 million worldwide gross – would like another one too, please.
Feig will next work with McCarthy on Susan Cooper, which is described as something of a funny, female James Bond flick.
