Rose Byrne joins Melissa McCarthy for spy flick Susan Cooper

Rose Byrne will join her Bridesmaids co-star Melissa McCarthy in the upcoming James Bond pastiche, Susan Cooper.

Bridesmaids helmer Paul Feig will direct.

Though The Wrap‘s report does not include specifics on Byrne’s role, it implies the picture will be more of a two-hander than the title implies.

McCarthy is set to play the titular spy.

20th Century Fox no doubt want to replicate the success of McCarthy and Feig’s previous buddy comedy, The Heat.

Seeing as Sandra Bullock wants nothing to do with a Heat sequel, this is the next best thing.
