The makers of ‘Jane Got a Gun’ would like Lynne Ramsay to give them their $360k back, please

Natalie Portman’s western Jane Got a Gun made headlines earlier this year when director Lynne Ramsay failed to show up for her first day at work.

What followed was a cavalcade of casting craziness, with actors Jude Law and Bradley Cooper backing away from the project after Gavin O’Connor was hired to helm.

According to Deadline, the producers are now suing Ramsay, demanding her $360,000 payday be returned, and that she also pony up $500,000 in damages.

The claim alleges she was “repeatedly under the influence of alcohol, was abusive to members of the cast and crew and was generally disruptive.”

In an interesting side note, part of her deal included $25,000 bonuses for any Golden Globes or Oscar nominations, and a further $50,000 for each win.

Talk about counting your chickens before they’ve come home to roost.
