Quentin Tarantino took to The Tonight Show to reveal the genre (and nothing else) about his upcoming movie.
Speaking to Jay Leno, he said, “I haven’t told anyone about this publicly, but I will say the genre: It’s a western.”
Immediately dispelling any rumours that it’d be a sequel to his biggest ever hit, Django Unchained, he continued:
“It’s not a Django sequel, but it’s another Western. I had so much fun doing Django and I love westerns so much, that after I taught myself how to make one, it’s like ‘OK, now let me make another one now that I know what I’m doing.'”
Should this project come to fruition, it would mean the genre-hopping director will have made three westerns in a row (yes, we’re counting his war-western Inglourious Basterds).
Well, so long as he’s still making movies (considering he’d been discussing the possibility of retirement) we’re happy.
Let the wild speculation about the film’s content begin!
