After years of being almost greenlit, it seems like we will finally be getting that fourth Beverly Hills Cop film we’re all incredibly nervous about.
According to Deadline, super-producer Jerry Bruckheimer has moved from to Disney to Paramount and Beverly Hills Cop 4 is a top priority.
Rush Hour director Brett Ratner, who’s been attached to this fourth film for years, is back onboard and so is Axel Foley himself, Eddie Murphy.
After the failed attempt at getting a Beverly Hills Cop TV series off the ground in early 2013, the world now turns back to the big screen in the hopes that another wonderful 80s memory isn’t tarnished by a sequel so many years later.
If Judge Reinhold reappears as Billy Rosewood and Harold Faltermayer’s classic synth theme is present then this sequel is already on its way to being good.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will be a good one, and I have high hopes. Eddie Murphy definitely needs another blockbuster. And with Jerry Bruckheimer on board I am almost positive that this will be a great movie.
