And so it begins, all over again. “But wait,” you protest, “We’re still catching up with the best of 2013!” The film industry cares not for your tardiness! 2014 has arrived, and with it, a promising fleet of brand new features. Though it’s true some of our most anticipated flicks might not live up to expectations, there are always plenty of lovely surprises that emerge from practically nowhere and wind up atop our end-of-year list of favourites. It’s that combination of anticipation, and the promise of the unknown, that makes movie-watching one of the most rewarding and enriching things about this crazy, complicated world of ours. So… onwards!
