This is more like housekeeping than actual news, but Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana have officially signed on for all three of James Cameron’s Avatar sequels.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the duo has finalised their deals to reprise the roles of Jake Sully and Neytiri, respectively.
Stephen Lang, who played the villainous Colonel Quaritch in the original, will also be back for the three follow-ups.
As previously revealed, Avatar 2 is set to hit cinemas December 2016, while Avatar 3 will arrive December 2017, and Avatar 4 in December 2018 (almost ten years after the first flick collected $2.78 billion at the box office).
Screenwriters Josh Friedman, Shane Salerno, and the team of Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver have been recruited to help Cameron pen the scripts.
