Brie Larson, of Short Term 12 and being cruelly robbed of an Oscar nomination fame, is negotiating to star in the next film from Little Miss Sunshine directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris.
According to The Wrap, Larson is eyeing The Good Luck of Right Now, which is based on the book by Matthew Quick.
It tells of four outsiders who form an unlikely family following massive losses in each of their lives.
Larson’s character is a librarian convinced of being abducted by aliens.
Mike White (Enlightened) has adapted the book for the screen.
The last adaptation of a Quick text, Silver Linings Playbook, was a box office success in 2012, and a multiple Oscar nominee. It even earned an Academy Award for its young starlet, Jennifer Lawrence.
Let’s hope Larson can achieve something similar this time around.
