If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and if it’s made of Lego, rebuild it.
Warner Bros has started work on a sequel to The Lego Movie, and the first flick hasn’t even hit cinemas yet.
According to The Wrap, the studio has high hopes for the animated feature, which arrives in the U.S. this weekend and reaches local shores in April.
Jared Stern and Michelle Morgan are already putting together the screenplay to the follow-up.
It’s unknown if directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller – who wrote the first instalment – will return in any role.
The Lego Movie features the voices of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, and a whole bunch of other funny people.
