‘Robocop’ tops ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ at Aus box office

The Robocop remake ended The Wolf of Wall Street‘s reign atop the Australian box office over the weekend.

According to IF, José Padilha’s Robocop grossed $2.28 million, besting Wolf‘s $2.24 million tally.

For what it’s worth, Wolf has been in cinemas for three weeks, and has an impressive cume of $15.53 million. That’s the most ever for an R-rated movie in Australia, and a career best result for director Martin Scorsese.

Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, Kevin Kline, and Morgan Freeman’s bachelor party comedy Last Vegas grossed $1.79 million, opening in third place.
