Trailer Debut: ‘Tammy’

Melissa McCarthy is taking her career into her own hands, and, in the trailer for Tammy, she’s taking the money from a fast food restaurant too.

Written by McCarthy and her husband Ben Falcone (who is making his directorial debut here), Tammy tells of an unhinged woman who goes on a road trip with her grandmother.

McCarthy – one of the few genuine box office draws in the world today – plays the unhinged woman (obviously) and Susan Sarandon her mee-maw.

Allison Janney, Kathy Bates, Dan Aykroyd, and Mark Duplass make up the rest of the cast.

It hits cinemas in July.
