Jon Hamm and Zach Galifianakis are ‘Keeping Up With the Joneses’

Long-time pals Jon Hamm and Zach Galifianakis are joining forces to star in the comedy Keeping Up With the Joneses.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Greg Mottola (Superbad) is attached to direct the flick, based on a script by Mike LeSieur.

Producers Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald have spent several years developing the project, about “a type-A couple in a suburban neighbourhood [discovering] their new, seemingly perfect neighbours are undercover agents.”

So, is Galifianakis going to be part of the ‘type-A couple’ or one of the ‘new, seemingly perfect’ undercover agents? Seriously, where does he fit here?

Galifianakis’ is secretly an adroit dramatic actor, and Hamm has made no secret of his comedic chops. No matter how silly or serious the picture ends up being, we’re in safe hands (though it’s probably going to be very silly).

The two have previously collaborated on the web series Between Two Ferns and on SNL.
