Following the revelation that David Fincher is no longer interested in making Sony’s Steve Jobs biopic comes news that Danny Boyle is next in line to helm the flick.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Boyle is reportedly keen to direct Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role.
Boyle and DiCaprio previously worked together on The Beach.
Aaron Sorkin’s screenplay is based on Walter Isaacson’s biography Steve Jobs, though it supposedly is only comprised of three, lengthy sequences, set behind the scenes of Apple’s most infamous product launches.
Sony and producer Scott Rudin were hoping to reunite Sorkin with his Social Network director David Fincher, though it’s believed they balked at his $10 million asking price.
