Lupita Nyong’o & Scarlett Johansson in talks for ‘The Jungle Book’

Lupita

Lupita Nyong’o is close to booking her first post-Oscar role (that is, unless she’s secretly shooting Star Wars Episode VII as we speak).

According to THR, the 12 Years a Slave starlet will voice Rakcha, the mother wolf who adopts Mowgli in the live-action/CG hybrid adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book.

Scarlett Johansson is also in negotiations to voice a hypnotic python called Kaa.

Idris Elba was previously cast as the villainous tiger Shere Khan.

Jon Favreau is directing the project for Disney, set to hit cinemas October 2015.
