Warner Bros. president of worldwide production Greg Silverman has officially confirmed the studio’s plans to make a Justice League movie.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Zack Snyder will direct the flick after he completes his Man of Steel sequel Batman vs. Superman.
Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot are all expected to portray Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman respectively in the DC team-up flick.
A Justice League movie had long been considered an inevitability, and almost came to fruition under George Miller. This is confirmation that WB and DC are indeed trying to break into the Marvel model.
Don’t expect Justice League to hit cinemas before 2018, though. A script is still in development, and Batman vs. Superman won’t arrive until 2016.
