The intricacies of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar are still being kept under wraps, but at least now we have a nice-looking poster to distract us until a proper trailer drops.
The teaser, released in December of 2013, was especially inscrutable, made up of real-life footage from NASA expeditions, with a voice over from star Matthew McConaughey lamenting the end of humanity’s willingness to explore the cosmos.
Amongst that old footage, however, seems to be a shot of McConaughey’s character in one of the space shuttles.
As the teaser ends, with a man and child admiring a spaceship launching, we’re left wondering whether Nolan’s tale is a spin on the past of space exploration, or an imagined glimpse into the future.
All – or at least some – will be revealed when the feature trailer debuts in the coming weeks.
Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine and Bill Irwin also star in the film, set for release this November.
