Your first look at Ben Affleck as Sad Batman, as well as the brand new Batmobile

Here is your first look at Ben Affleck in the Batsuit, standing – so forlornly! – alongside his Batmobile.

The pic was snapped by director Zack Snyder and shared via Twitter.

First, the car: certainly a far cry from Christopher Nolan’s Tumbler, it harks back to the earlier Tim Burton beast (though maintaining some of the more modern, utilitarian enhancements).

The suit, greyer and more ab-centric than Christian Bale’s, is still classic Batman.

The real question, however, is whether the man within the suit is up to the job.

Batman vs. Superman also stars Henry Cavill as Supes, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

It arrives in cinemas May 2016.
