Jerry Bruckheimer believes fifth ‘Pirates’ will shoot in 2015

Pirates - Depp

That elusive, inevitable fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie will likely shoot in early 2015. That is, if Jerry Bruckheimer has any say.

The beleaguered blockbuster producer may no longer have a deal with Disney, but all parties still seem pretty keen to make the next instalment in the Pirates saga.

Bruckheimer dropped the date in a video interview with WTLV.

A 2015 shoot implies a 2016 release. The picture had initially been scheduled for release in 2015, but was unceremoniously dropped from Disney’s calendar without a replacement date.

Kon-Tiki filmmakers Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg are still attached to direct Jeff Nathanson’s script.

Johnny Depp, badly in need of a hit, is a certainty to return.
