Alex Pettyfer to star in Tatum/Soderbergh stripper pic

Get your dollar bills ready ladies! Deadline reports Alex Pettyfer has signed on to Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh’s stripper film Magic Mike.

Pettyfer, who was recently seen in I Am Number Four, will star in a role inspired by Channing Tatum’s real-life experience as a stripper before making it big in Hollywood.

Tatum will play mentor to Pettyfer’s newcomer, in a film that has been described as “a story of friendship set in the world of male strippers”.

We have to admit we’re more than a little intrigued to see where Magic Mike will sit on the Quickflix Trash-O-Meter; with two beefy male leads and one intriguing director, Magic Mike could turn out to be a must see film … or perhaps not.
