With one DC saga coming to an end, Warner Bros would like to point your attention towards their next big great hope: Zack Snyder‘s gritty Superman reboot Man of Steel.
Christopher Nolan’s producer credit is given equal weight to Snyder’s status as director, but the visuals here seem to evoke Terrence Malick more than either of those filmmakers.
The teaser is subtle, and doesn’t feature many of the money shots that supposedly blew away Comic-Con attendees. It’s all mood and style, which we knew Snyder could pull off. Here’s hoping his star Henry Cavill can deliver the goods as Clark Kent.
The voice in this teaser belongs to Kevin Costner‘s Pa Kent. You can also see the same trailer narrated by Superman’s real dad, Jor-El (Russell Crowe), below.
Man of Steel also stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White. It arrives in cinemas June 13, 2013.
