Run away kids! Burton’s Alice in Wonderland trailer debut!

COMIC CON! It’s a Comic Con update blitz today as we report on the biggest stories to come out of San Diego’s legendary geek-gasmic festival.

The trailer for Tim Burton‘s Alice in Wonderland debuted at Comic Con last week to a rapturous response. Now you can check it out yourself in all its weird, creepy glory.

So, what did you think? It looks as if they’re really going to push this as “a Johnny Depp movie” which probably isn’t the worst idea in the world. Aiming at an older audience might be essential when the film seems intent on making every last child poop themselves.

The film stars Aussie Mia Wasikowska as Alice, Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as The Red Queen and Anne Hathaway as The White Queen.

Alice in Wonderland will be released March 2010.

Discuss: What did you think of the mixture of live-action and motion-capture? I personally thought Tweedledee/Tweedledum and The Red Queen looked a little too weird, but hey, what was I expecting?
