The trailer for the new J.J. Abrams‘ produced comedy Morning Glory has debuted online. It stars Harrison Ford, Rachel McAdams and Diane Keaton.
McAdams stars as an up-and-coming news producer who is charged with saving a morning show from cancellation, and keeping anchors (Ford and Keaton) from killing one another.
I’ll admit that the trailer is plenty plucky, and I’d be lying if I wasn’t at least a little intrigued. With Abrams’ Bad Robot production company behind it, and a great cast that also includes Jeff Goldblum and Patrick Wilson, it’s not unreasonable to expect a solid little comedy.
I’d complain that the trailer gives away far too much of the plot away, but come on now, we all know how these movies end. Any film about a television show is legally required to end with an on-air declaration of love/admission of some sort.
And with that… (thanks Trailer Addict)

Morning Glory, directed by Roger Michell, hits Australian cinemas January 6, 2011.
Discuss: Has Ford still got the comic chops for this kind of role?
