The cast of Matthew Vaughn‘s X-Men: First Class seems to be growing exponentially. Australia’s own Rose Byrne and character actor Oliver Platt have signed up to star in the heavily anticipated prequel to the blockbuster X-Men franchise.
According to THR, Byrne will star as Moira MacTaggert, a scientist and the love interest of Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy).
Deadline are reporting that Platt will star as a mysterious (villainous?) non-mutant character called The Man In Black.
They join … (deep breath) Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Alice Eve as Emma Frost, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Caleb Landry Jones as Banshee, Lucas Till as Havoc, Edi Gathegi as Darwin, Jason Flemyng as Azazel and Kevin Bacon as the as-yet-unknown villain.
Discuss: Which list of actors is more impressive? Those lined up for X-Men: First Class, or the actresses not selected for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo?
