Hugh Jackman to play Snow White’s Huntsman?

There are so many Snow White projects/fairy-tale revivals in the works at the moment it’s impossible to keep up. According to Deadline, Hugh Jackman has been offered the role of “the Huntsman” in, umm, one of them.

More accurately, he is being considered for Snow White and The Huntsman, which already has Kristen Stewart attached as Snow and Charlize Theron as the villainous Queen.

Viggo Mortensen was rumoured for the part of the Huntsman, although Deadline suggest he left over a low pay check. And now that Jackman’s schedule is freeing up (you can blame Aronofsky for ditching The Wolverine), Universal are courting the hirsute star for the Rupert Sanders-directed flick.

Meanwhile, Tarsem Singh‘s The Brothers Grimm: Snow White, starring Lily Collins as Snow, Armie Hammer as Prince Andrew and Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen, is very much still in production.

Discuss: Seriously, one of these films will have the plug pulled soon enough. Are we really going to see two Snow White films hit cinemas at almost the same time?
