Jacki Weaver joins Judd Apatow comedy

Well, this is exciting! Aussie thesp, Animal Kingdom star and recent Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver has signed on to the upcoming Judd Apatow-produced comedy Five Year Engagement.

According to Deadline (who broke the good news), the film tracks – you guessed it – the five year engagement between characters played by Jason Segel and Emily Blunt. The flick reunites Segel with his Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas  Stoller; the duo penned the screenplay together.

It is unknown which role Weaver will take on, but she is in good company. Five Year Engagement will also star Alison Brie, Chris Pratt and Rhys Ifans.
