Director Matt Reeves is off the long-delayed Twilight Zone feature and maybe onto the next Planet Of The Apes instalment, according to Variety.
After over a year of various writers failing to bring in a suitable screenplay for a Twilight Zone film, Reeves has decided to move onto another project. The director of Cloverfield and Let Me In is now apparently on an exclusive short-list to helm Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes after the previous picture’s director, Rupert Wyatt, dropped out of the project. This short-list includes names such as Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter) and Rian Johnson (Looper).
I think Reeves could nail an Apes film but I am sad that his Twilight Zone may not appear any time soon. He’s an incredibly skilled filmmaker just waiting for a big, original project to put his name on the map.
Discuss: Would you rather see Reeves helm the Apes or a Twilight Zone film?
