Trailer Debut: The Grand Budapest Hotel

Budapest

You can check out anytime you want, but you may never want to leave.

The trailer for The Grand Budapest Hotel, Wes Anderson’s follow-up to his Oscar nominated Moonrise Kingdom, has arrived online.

Boasting an all-star cast that includes Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Jason Schwartzman, and, of course, Bill Murray (among many, many others), it looks to be one of the director’s funniest efforts yet.

That doesn’t mean his signature, intensely-manicured style is absent. This thing seems to be his most intricately composed picture book to date. Except when it comes to aspect ratios. He’s trying out every one under the sun here!

Newcomer Tony Revolori has the lead role, playing a loyal lobby boy under the tutelage of esteemed concierge Gustave H (Ralph Fiennes).

When one of the hotel’s wealthy residents is found murdered, Gustave becomes a prime suspect.

Hilarity ensues, obviously.

The Grand Budapest Hotel arrives in cinemas March 2014.

  1. Oh Dear.
It looks like another of Wes Anderson’s supremely unfunny flics.
