A new trailer for Anchorman 2 – The Legend Continues has arrived online.
Beginning with a shot of the esteemed James Dibble from the ABC, we see the decline of news coverage in America, culminating in Ron Burgundy and his Action News Team trialling crack on the air.
Then, a barrage of jokes. Wonderful, absurd jokes.
Director Adam McKay recently revealed to Empire his hope to release a second version of his highly-anticipated Anchorman sequel featuring entirely different gags; the result of his talented improvisers crafting multiple variations in each scene.
There is a precedent here!
Wake Up Ron Burgundy, which was released soon after the original Anchorman, is comprised of jokes from the cutting room floor and abandoned plot lines.
Anchorman 2 – The Legend Continues, starring Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate, hits cinemas December 19, 2013.
