Germaphobes, look away! The trailer for Steven Soderbergh’s apocalyptic viral outbreak thriller Contagion has debuted online, and it will make you want to cut off all contact with the rest of the human race.
Penned by Scott Z. Burns, the film features a cavalcade of stars dealing with a highly contagious and fatal case of the bird flu – one which has been weaponised by the birds themselves.
From the looks of the trailer, expect a cross between Outbreak and 28 Days Later, with Soderbergh’s unique aesthetic touch.

Contagion stars (deep breath) Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, John Hawkes and Bryan Cranston. It arrives in Australian cinemas October 20, 2011.

Looks really interesting and so many heavyweights of the acting world involved….cannot wait to see it!
This is a film that’s going to cause a bout of obsessive compulsive disorders. I already feel like I need a disinfecting bath just watching the trailer.
