Saoirse Ronan will play Snow White too

For reasons not totally clear to anyone, Snow White is suddenly the hottest property in Hollywood. 

Not only are two Snow White flicks hitting cinemas this year – Mirror Mirror starring Lily Collins, and Snow White and the Huntsman starring Kristen Stewart – but Saoirse Ronan is now in talks to star in a film inspired by the same fairytale.

According to Total Film, Ronan is in negotiations for the lead role in Disney’s The Order of the Seven (previously titled Snow and the Seven, before all the Snow madness begun).

Ronan would star as a British expat living in 19th century Hong Kong, where she meets a band of warriors (read: dwarves) who protect her from an evil empress.

Visual effects supervisor Michael Gracey will make his directorial debut with the picture.
